"GALLERY - A small time picture of Danish Art 2010" is the title of a book which contains 88 contemporary Danish artists with descriptions. The book is about how rich this country is on creative artistic expression. Paintings, sculptures, glass art, photography, etc. I am one of the 88 artists!
The book was only published in 1000 numbered and signed copies, and not two books are alike! This of course makes each book unique. It is both a book, a union catalog and a unique picture - in one concept.
It has been possible because the different artists have decorated the front with an original hand-made artwork directly on the binding. The artist who has to decorate the binding, signs the book and refers to on which page he is described.
With each book follows a small cardboard stand that the book can be placed in. In this way, it is indeed a true picture.
GALLERY was officially released on 11 September 2010. In connection with the release there was an exhibition in Gallery GAL in Frederiksværk of some of the artists mentioned in the book. I participated there too.
