Glass is a fantastic material and has always fascinated me. It is fragile and incredibly strong at the same time – also in its artistic expression.
The nature of glass, the colours, the transparency and the reflection of the light make it a perfect ground material in creating exiting art. For instance, I use the transparency to create depth, and the surface to play with the light in refraction and reflection, for the colours to play in the light, and to give life to the art form.
Glass holds so many possibilities, energies and feelings.

It can be a time-consuming process to make glass art. For example, the glass has to be burnt 2-4 times in a kiln, where each burning takes at least 24 hours, sometimes many days.
Many of the advanced stuff I'm doing, need to be burnt 7-10 times!
Not until the kiln is opened for the last time do we know, if the result is as expected. Glass is a living, unpredictable and changeable material, so surprises in connection with colour and form may easily occur. It may take quite a few attempts, before you achieve the wanted result. But somehow that is also the charm of working with glass.

Art is what you can't. If you could, it wouldn´t be art.
